Backend developer

What you will do

Services on Django, Celery, Redis, Docker and MySQL. They take a heavy flow of data and connect to payment systems and external APIs.

• Backend on Django REST Framework
• REST APIs: design, implementation, performance, documentation
• Integrations with external services and payment systems
• Background jobs on Celery and Redis
• MySQL: queries, optimization, indexes, transactions
• Services in Docker
• Unit, integration and API tests
• Service speed and database queries
• Work with DevOps, frontend and the product manager
• Code review and the quality of the codebase

What we need

• 2–3+ years of commercial Python 3
• Django and Django REST Framework on real projects
• MySQL: queries, indexes, transactions, execution plans
• Tests with pytest or unittest
• Docker, Celery and Redis
• Git on GitLab or GitHub
• Readable code the next person can change
• REST, HTTP and the basics of web application security

A plus

• Payment integrations
• High-load services
• PostgreSQL

• Async in Python
• Monitoring and logs: Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana
• API docs: OpenAPI / Swagger
